So I was ask to commission a pair of Sonic the Hedgehog dunks for a client after he had came across my famous Sonic Light Speed Dunks over the net. Since this is still the 20th anniversary i stuck with that concept. Going with Black, blue, and red as my colorway, I did these shoes for a client whos a Huge sonic fan as well. So going with the Sonic Generation theme i added the old school blue blur to the concept. Done on a dunk high which is similar yet slightly different from the last pair. We decided to go with a mostly blue theme. Going back and forward with a few ideas we decided to do a gradient fade to the Swoosh to symbolize when sonic goes into his spin dash attach. Pictureing as if he just shot off from the heel zooming across the sides of the shoes. On the left shoe i have sonic in one of his classic thumbs up pose. And on the right shoe i have the ultra classic number 1 pose for the original sonic. If you look closely you can tell that the color from the old sonic is a lighter blue than from the new gen sonics darker blue. For the checker board pattern i chose to have it fade from the heel as to not stand out to much yet give you that "sonic" feel. Stamped with the SEGA logo one the backs of the heel so you know where he came from! On the inner part of the left shoe he wanted to have the Sonic Team logo i mocked up from the "Light Speed Dunks" and also the blue star'd flag stretching along sides of the toe panel.
